  • We will be walking through tall grasses and mud, so students should wear tall boots if possible. Rubber boots are best.

  • Please know that ticks are common in the area which we will be visiting, therefore I will have bug spray. designed to keep ticks away.

  • Please let me know if you do not want your child sprayed.

  • If you choose to spray your child at home, that's fine.

  • I would also recommend wearing long sleeves and pants, unless it's too hot.

  • Chaperones will be needed, so please let me know if you're interested.

  • You will then get to hear additional poems that your child has been working on. These poems will be in a book that students will share with you at their desks.

  • Snacks will be provided.

  • I hope you can make it. Please RSVP via e-mail by June 1st so that I know how much food to buy.

Jiffy Mix/Dexter Field Trip- June 7th

  • 9:30-2:30. We will load busses at approximately 9:15.

  • Jiffy Mix tour will last approximately an hour.

  • We will then eat lunch at Mill Creek Park in Dexter. Students should pack a lunch.

  • If you have not done so, please make a lunch selection for your child by visiting the link sent in the email or by clicking here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1VXKOlV5Td8FOFxznu-vTk6mVj_9FT_4Tcw6lze80a6s/edit#responses

  • Next, we will walk along the Border to Border Trail and have some time to play at the playground.

  • The trip will end with a tasty treat from either Dexter Creamery or Dairy Queen (students get to choose). Please send them with money. 5.00 will be more than enough.

  • Chaperones will be needed for this trip. If you'd like to chaperone please let me know.

  • This is also one of my favorite trips. It is really laid back and ends with ice cream!
